BY CHRIS CLOUT

COMPLETED IN 2012

Like the Lagoona House, the Queenslander House took out the Best Renovation category at the 2012 BDAQ Awards, and it’s certainly not hard to see why. Renovating and updating a beautiful but dated home is often difficult. Not only was the existing Queenslander on this site beautiful and imbued with rich history and family memories, but council restrictions required that the front facade be retained as-is.

THE CONCEPT

Giving new life to a rundown
but inherently charming home,
this contmeporary update
by Chris Clout has turned a tired
Queenslander into a joyful
family home.
